Govt urged to address marginalisation of oil producing areas

Wife of HRM Bini Pere III, Agadagba of Egbema Kingdom, Delta State, Queen Charity Tiemo, the Ibe-Yin 1, has called on the Federal and Delta State Governments to address the neglect and marginalisation of oil producing kingdoms in the state.
Tiemo said that the agencies created to address the developmental challenges in oil producing kingdoms have been politicised, hence the core oil producing communities are left unattended to.



The Ibe-Yin 1, while fielding questions from journalists in Warri at a thanksgiving/reception after a fasting programme for Egbema Kingdom, appealed to the Federal and state governments to see the development of oil producing areas as their number one priority.
Tiemo stressed the need to provide basic infrastructural facilities like bridges, roads, potable water, electricity and hospitals to the oil producing areas.
