Beautiful, funny woman are hard to find

Former Disney CEO Michael Eisner turned himself into a punchline on social media after saying that "the hardest artist to find is a beautiful, funny woman."

Eisner made the controversial comments during an on-stage conversation with Goldie Hawn Thursday at the Aspen Ideas Festival -- apparently meant as a compliment to the actress.

"From my position, the hardest artist to find is a beautiful, funny woman," Eisner said, according to the Atlantic.

"By far. They usually-boy am I going to get in trouble, I know this goes online,” he added in a prescient moment. “But usually, unbelievably beautiful women, you being an exception, are not funny."

Eisner apparently meant his comments as a compliment to his conversation partner, Goldie Hawn.
Hawn responded that she credited her sense of humor to feeling like an "ugly duckling" during her formative years.

"You didn't think you were beautiful," Eisner continued. "I know women who have been told they're beautiful, they win Miss Arkansas, they don't ever have to get attention other than with their looks.

"So they don't tell a joke. In the history of the motion-picture business, the number of beautiful, really beautiful women-a Lucille Ball-that are funny, is impossible to find."
