The European Union is furious with six major U.S. movie studios — including Disney.
The EU Commission has filed antitrust charges against the studios for preventing British broadcasters from showing their movies outside the U.K. and Ireland.
The commission sent a statement of objections to Disney, NBCUniversal, Paramount Pictures, Sony, Twentieth Century Fox and Warner Bros Thursday.

The group alleged that Sky, a British TV company, is required to block these studios’ movies to any countries other than the U.K. and Ireland.
"European consumers want to watch the pay-TV channels of their choice regardless of where they live or travel in the EU," competition chief Margrethe Vestager said in a statement.
