Hugh Hefner’s son Cooper gets engaged

He's living the dream — but it's his dad's nightmare.

Cooper Hefner — the son of fabled libertine Hugh Hefner — just got engaged to British actress Scarlett Byrne, according to Us Weekly. He reportedly popped the question on Tuesday after nearly two years of dating.

"To many more adventures with this lovely lady," Hefner wrote on Instagram along with a photo collage of the pair.

The 24-year-old actress also shared the news on her Instagram, posting a photo of her cuddling in bed next to Hefner while showing off her sparkling new yellow diamond ring.

"I was lucky enough to fall in love with my best friend," she wrote.

Despite a history of recommending free love for generations of men, the thrice married Hef is excited his son (with second wife Kimberly Conrad) has found love.

"Sending love and congratulations to my son Cooper and his fiancee Scarlett on their engagement!" Hugh Hefner posted.

The 23-year-old Cooper Hefner reportedly flew to England to ask Byrne's father for permission to propose to his daughter, who played Pansy Parkinson in the Harry Potter series.
