Errological bible that encourage ........

Behold, cheaters! The most blasphemous Bible ever printed could be yours for $23,000.

One of the only 10 remaining copies of a Bible that mistakenly encourages infidelity will be auctioned off in
London next month.

The 400-year-old holy book reads "Thou shalt commit adultery" after the word "not" was accidentally omitted from the Seventh Commandment.

BONHAMS
The 1631 so-called Wicked Bible has the infamous "Thou shalt commit adultery" typo.

About 1,000 copies of the so-called Wicked Bible were printed in 1631, but King Charles I demanded the books be burned when the horrific error was discovered about a year later, according to auction house Bonhams, which is selling the defective Bible.

Fewer than a dozen survived, and at least one will be sold at an auction in Knightsbridge on Nov. 11, Bonhams said.

The Bible blunder may have been an act of sabotage by rivals of royal printers Robert Barker and Martin Lucas, who were blamed for publishing the sacrilegious tomes and were stripped of their printing licenses, the auction house said.

The gaffe caused a firestorm at the time and is now a major part of publishing history, Bonhams expert Simon Roberts told The Telegraph.

"Although this bible was controversial at the time, it is now an important part of the history of this holiest of books," Roberts said. "It remains a lesson to us all to make sure we proofread everything we write."
