Baby thrown from 4th floor in Queens: sources

A three-week-old baby fell four stories to his death Friday from a Queens apartment window, and the boy’s father was brought in for questioning, police sources said.

The lifeless body of little Ahmad Ridwan was found near the courtyard trash area of the building on 115th St. near Myrtle Ave. in Richmond Hill about 4:10 a.m., cops said.

The child, dressed in a onesie and suffering severe head trauma, was pronounced dead at the scene less than a month after his July 18 birth.

A 911 caller heard a noise in the darkness, looked outside and saw the infant’s body, police sources said.

Four children were in the apartment along with the parents at the time of the death, and investigators were trying to detemine if one of the kids was holding the baby before the fatal plunge, police sources said.

The boy’s mom, 21-year-old Rashida Chowdhury, was taken to Jamaica Hospital’s psychiatric unit after the shocking death, police sources said.
