We are closing down all unregistered school.- Imo state Gov

Imo State government appears set to close all unregistered and unapproved private institutions currently operating in the state.
Feelers emanating from the recently inaugurated Task Force on Education indicate that the state government is fine-tuning arrangements to
declare outright war against all unapproved schools in the 27 local council areas of the state.
Vanguard gathered that the Task Force, which is headed by the House Committee Chairman on Education, Dr. Uche Ejiogu, had already invited and held crucial meetings with the proprietors of private schools in the state.
A reliable source at the meeting told Vanguard: “Dr. Ejiogu properly briefed the school proprietors of the new development, especially the fact that all institutions without operational licenses or permits would be shut down.”
It was also gathered that several schools without the requisite operational permits have been springing up in the past four years.
A school teacher who spoke on strict grounds of anonymity for fear of victimization, wondered why government had been looking the other way while things were going wrong.
