Queens house fire killed two injured one.

Two men were killed and a third was critically injured in a raging house fire in Queens Monday night.

The fire broke out about 10:30 p.m. on the second floor of a
home on Ithaca St. near Whitney Ave. in Elmhurst, officials said.

Firefighters found one man in the back of the house on the first floor and two more in the back of the second floor, according to authorities. All three were unconscious and unresponsive.


Two of the victims were rushed to Elmhurst Hospital, where one of them died, officials said. The other is in critical condition.

The third victim was taken Forest Hills Hospital, where he also died, officials said.

One firefighter also suffered minor injuries.

The names of the victims were not immediately released. The city medical examiner will perform autopsies to determine exactly how the two men died.
