Unversity students died in auto crash.

Four University of Georgia students were tragically killed in a car crash Wednesday night near the Athens campus, authorities said.

The students killed were Kayla Canedo, 19, of Alpharetta; Brittany Feldman, 20, of Alpharetta; Christina Semeria, 19, of Milton;
and Halle Scott, 19, of Dunwoody.
The driver of the car with the students —

 fellow student Agnes Kim, 21, of Snellville, Ga. — remained hospitalized in critical condition. The driver of the other car, Abby Short, 27, of Demorest, Ga., was taken to a hospital but her condition wasn't available.
The white Toyota Camry driven by Kim was heading north when it veered into the southbound lanes and was struck on the passenger side by a blue Chevrolet Cobalt. It wasn't known why the Camry drifted into the other lane, authorities said.
Alcohol is not suspected in the crash, according to Fox 5 , but an investigation is ongoing.
"For an unknown reason, a vehicle crossed the center line and struck another vehicle," Georgia State Patrol Sgt. Scott Andrews told WSB.
Brittany Feldman, Christina Semeria, Halle Scott and Kayla Canedo were killed in Wednesday's crash.

Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal ordered flags to be flown at half-staff. "Today we are all Bulldogs," he tweeted.

Students and staff will gather Thursday night at the school to honor the students who were killed and injured.

"We are deeply saddened to learn of the heartbreaking and tragic loss of four students and critical injuries to another student in a terrible car accident last night outside of Athens," University of Georgia President Jere Morehead said in a statement.
"We extend our deepest condolences to the families and friends of our students who were victims," Morehead said. "We ask that you keep these students and their family and friends in your thoughts and prayers."

He said the four students were very active in campus activities such as the Greek system and religious organizations.

Cops currently investigating the crash said the cause of the accident in unknown.
"Our hearts are heavy today as we mourn the loss of our sister, Halle Scott," the Delta Delta Delta sorority and fraternity at the university wrote on Facebook. "Halle was an incredible, and loving woman who brought joy to everyone she encountered. She will be deeply missed, but she will be remembered in our hearts forever."
The senior Kim has been involved with the campus Young Life program, devoted to helping kids, since her freshman year,
